July 13, 2007PHP 4 support will be discountinued by December
php.Net has just announced that development team will support PHP4 until the end of this year only. They will continue to make critical security patches available on a case-by-case basis until August 2008.
It has been noted that today is exactly three years since the PHP5 was announced. PHP now is “fast, stable and production-ready” development language, that has been greatly improved by PHP 5 and the integrated Zend Engine 2. It is strongly recommended to convert all the applications to PHP5. There are numerous migration guides available on the php.net site to help anyone through the migration process.
