January 2, 20082008 Goals
Overall, 2007 has turned out to be a very good year. I feel very content about it.
I started this blog in April and wrote on a regular basis since then. I plan on being a more frequent poster in 2008.
I attended two Web Development Conferences – An Event Apart (Seattle, WA) and Webmaster Jam Session (Dallas, TX). Both of those conferences were great and full of interesting material that provided me with long lasting inspiration. Also at the Event Apart Conference, I was one of three lucky attenders who received an Adobe CS3 Web Premium Suite as a door prize.
Almost at the very end of 2007, I accepted a Web Developer position in a local Web Development company. The experience has been great so far, and I am very happy that I made the switch. Nowadays, my days are filled with .net, xhtml/html, css, photoshop, and flash projects.
Similar to other bloggers that I frequent in my rss feed crawls, I am going to share a listing of my 2008 goals. I intend to provide regular status updates (at least weekly).
- Read 1 technical book per month and write a book review upon completion
- Read more books overall (I read 61 books in 2007 – see list)
- Blog more regularly (twice a week)
- Complete and bring to live at least a couple of my back burner projects
- Keep my RSS Feed close to 500 feeds. It gets outrageous at times. This year I am going to stick with the following rule:
If addNewFeed Then
DeleteOldFeed
End If - Wake up at 6:30am during workdays

500 RSS Feeds! Wow, thats a lot. I have I believe only around 35 and sometimes I feel like i have too many. How do you manage to keep up with that many! Yikes!

Yeah, no kidding. I am working hard on trimming my RSS Feeds. It is soooo hard though.
